Recently featured on HGTV’s “Bahamas Life", "Entre-deux-Mers" (unit 2D at the Buttonwood Reserve Oceanfront Condominium Resort) offers a full-surround two-ocean view, facing west over the Caribbean for the sunset and east to the Atlantic for the sunrise. Enjoy stunning ocean views from every room through the eight-foot glass sliders and six-foot bay windows in this spectacular luxury condo. The expansive private decks also feature spectacular sea views in every direction.
Buttonwood Reserve has access to two beaches. On the Atlantic side is a world-class, 3-mile-long pink-sand beach, pristine without a single house. It is accessed via our private, golf-carts only driveway. All condominiums at Buttonwood come with access to a fleet of golf carts at no charge. On the Caribbean side of our property, almost in your front yard, is a second beach. This beach is small and rather rocky, so not so aesthetic, but the water is as calm as a lake and this shore is perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing.
Our resort-style pool is just steps from your condominium. This beautiful landscaped pool is heated for comfortable swimming year round. Near the pool is our grilling area, outfitted with propane grills for your use. Grill burgers while enjoying a relaxing day at the pool, or cook up the day’s fresh catch from a fishing adventure.
We just completed a new pickleball court!
Our mini-gym is equipped with a multifunction smith machine cage with precision linear bearings, an Olympic weight rack, dip station, and a cable routed pulley system. Guests also have access to dumbbells and a fitness/yoga mat. This is an open-air gym (fully roofed and with three walls).
The professionally decorated interior of this vacation rental is elegantly furnished, modern, warm and comfortable. The east end of the great room features a modern, open-plan, luxurious kitchen finished in stainless steel and black granite, and equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. The kitchen, dining area, and living room have magnificent ocean views in every direction, with water sparkling as far as the eye can see.
The master bedroom features a large upholstered window seat with magnificent panoramic views of the Caribbean, a perfect spot to relax with a book or morning coffee, or watch the sunset over the sea. The master is furnished with a king bed, and luxury linens and is equipped with an en-suite full bath. The master has a private door leading to the deck over the Caribbean.
The guest bedroom also features a large window seat with a spectacular view, this one overlooking the Atlantic. The bedroom has a full en-suite bath (which can be accessed from the hall as well). It is furnished with twin beds that can be converted into a king. Additionally, the living room sofa pulls out to a comfortable queen-size bed.
Buttonwood Reserve comes with kayaks and a paddle board for use on the sea or in our pond. Bicycles are also provided.
Buttonwood Reserve is a 10 minute walk from three restaurants: Delish, Leorose Sunset Beach Bar and Grill, and Mel's Snack Shack.
Just a mile from Buttonwood Reserve is the village of James Cistern, which has three grocery stores, a town dock where the fisherman bring their catch every day, a produce stand, and Kel D's sports bar. James Cistern is also the home of Stubb’s famous barbecue, now called Tamarind Tree Grill, every Friday and Saturday, which is not to be missed.
Buttonwood Reserve is an easy 15-minute drive from Governor’s Harbour, the main town on the island. Governor’s Harbour has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor.
Other restaurants in the area include Pascal’s at boutique resort Sky Beach Club, Tippy’s (international and fusion), 1648 Bar & Grille at French Leave (fine dining for lunch and dinner), The Buccaneer, The Rainbow Inn (steaks and Monday night brick oven pizza night), the Front Porch, Hot Buns bakery and sandwich shop, and Da Perk Café (café and sandwich shop).

Everything was perfect except for a stained rug in the twin bed bedroom. Also, the bathroom attached to the bedroom with twin beds needs a sprucing up .

Great Condo with spectacular views in all directions! Central location on the island made it great for exploring beaches, settlements and other sites. Golf cart made it easy to enjoy their beautiful private Atlantic beach. Property staff very courteous and helpful. Da Perk was our favorite lunch spot, and Rainbow Inn was good for dinner. Highly recommend.

Our group of 30+ rented 7 of 8 condo units at Buttonwood for our daughter's destination wedding. Another couple rented the last condo. They were very nice and we only ran into them a few times. We had a magical week! We rented the main lodge and had several meals catered in as well as hosting the wedding reception there. The condos were very nice and as described. The views could not be beat! When issues came up management was quick to respond and went out of their way to assist us with any requests. We enjoyed the pool which was at the perfect temperature to relax. The pickleball court is awesome and our group had several fun sessions using it. There is a nice shade pergola for those that just want to spectate. Some of the golf carts were in need of some TLC and battery replacement? A few times we ran out of juice at the beach a half mile away. The kayaks may also need some repair, while out on the water a couple of them were taking on water and had to go back to shore. We flew into North ELA which is 45 minutes from the condo. Would not have been a problem but we had to do several trips as family members arrived and departed at different days. Looking back we would have come into Governors Harbor for a bit more $. All in all, we picked a winner in Buttonwood and had a wonderful week with friends and family!

Our stay at the condo was great. Our family of 26 rented out all the condos at Buttonwood and the main house for our annual family reunion, and it was a fantastic and relaxing week! The condos are lovely and the location with access to two beaches is spectacular. The pool was so great and a fun meeting spot for our family. Our condo was clean and comfortable with everything you’d need for a great stay. The on site property manager was quick to action any questions or requests. Before the stay all the info from the rental company was super helpful. We hired Shauna from their recommended list for dinner catering in the main house and she was fantastic and the food was all delicious, and we spent fun evenings all together. We especially loved the beaches and swimming in the warm water, and driving over to the Atlantic beach side in the golf carts was extra fun. The only challenge was the noseeums, the tiny bite-y bugs that show up mostly around dusk, they seriously ate some of us. Bring bug repellant and wear long pants and shoes with socks in the evening! But that was a minor issue compared to how wonderful, lovely, and fun our week long stay was at Buttonwood! Can’t wait to go back someday!

Eleuthera is a hidden gem. I almost dont want to leave a review because the island is not commercialized and I hope it never gets that way. Buttonwoodn is a lovely property. It is private and quiet. All of the caretakers are so nice and we enjoyed speaking with them daily. The units are well maintained and pretty decor. The views of both sides are incredible from the upper unit balconies. Check in/out was smooth. Anything we needed or asked for was taken care of promptly. Great experience with both Buttonwood and the island itself. We are planning to be back in the spring!

Our chosen rental had the best of both worlds for visitors to Eleuthera, you have an unobstructed Caribbean view right across the street, and a view of the Atlantic from the rear balcony. You will enjoy sunrises and sunsets both from here! We collected a myriad of shells from the beach directly across the road, and enjoyed a sunset with cocktails on the private dock there as well. The golf cart onsite takes you to the private Atlantic beach, and also available for guests are a heated pool, a boogie board, a paddle board, 4 kayaks, a large cooler, 4 beach chairs and an umbrella. Perfect!

Buttonwood was perfect for our group of 14 (6 adults and 8 tween/teens). We rented all four units of building 2. The units were clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The units and property were just as described and came with beach towels, beach chairs, pool floats, grills, golf carts, coolers, etc. The location was perfectly situated to explore all of the beaches on both the north and south end of the island. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy even more of Eleuthera. We all loved our trip to Buttonwood and Eleuthera! Rental was seamless - Matt and Tara were very easy to work with and super helpful with tips and info.

This was our first time in Eleuthera and the Bahamas. My wife turned 40, and we wanted to spend some quality time together. We were so glad we chose to stay in Buttonwood. The property is well-kept, the staff on site are friendly and helpful, and the apartment was sparkling clean.
We loved 2D as well as you can see the Carribean side and the Atlantic side. We would watch the sunrise while we have breakfasts and watch the sunset at dinner time. There is a grocery store a few minutes away, but we would recommend going into Governor's Harbour to get your grocery. If you are a wine drinker, there is a nice wine store there too.
The reason we chose this property is because we wanted to get away from the crowds. Having a private beach on both sides was great. We would take walks along the beach on the Atlantic side and there will be no one around.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again. Do make sure you bring mosquito repellent as the noseeums bites were crazy.
