Cocodimama is situated at the center of picture-perfect Alabaster Bay’s spectacular beach, recently featured on the cover of Conde Nast Travler. Alabaster Beach stretches for a mile along the crystal clear azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. The water on this beach is famously calm, typically as calm as a lake. The island is so narrow at this point that guests can stroll to the Atlantic Ocean to enjoy the splendor of miles of uninterrupted pink sand beach as they watch the Atlantic’s blue-green waters roll ashore over nearby reefs. The combination of the Caribbean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, rolling green hills, and two extraordinary beaches presents our resort guests with a one of kind experience.
The resort’s colonial Main House (the white and blue building in the photos) is the perfect gathering spot for large groups. This very large and comfortable beachfront interior features a spacious lounge area with sofas, a very large dining room, commercial kitchen, full bar and bar area with flat screen TV, and men’s and women’s rest rooms. Outside the dining room, the spacious beachfront deck is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal or an evening cocktail and our legendary sunsets. The yellow, green, and red buildings in the photos each contain 4 hotel rooms. Each room has a full en-suite bathroom. All of our spacious rooms are direct beachfront, steps from the sand, and feature unobstructed beach, ocean, and sunset views.
Cocodimama is rented out to just one group at a time. You will have the entire resort to yourself. Pricing is on a sliding scale based on the number of guests. The number of rooms provided will depend on the size of your group (one room for each two guests). Daily housekeeping is included. For groups that need more than 12 rooms, the two-bedroom, two-bath manager's suite is available for an additional charge, bringing the total number of rooms to 14.
Cocodimama has 3 double rooms (each with two queen beds) and 3 king/single rooms which contain both a king bed and a single bed, and 6 king rooms, each with a king bed. The manager's suite has one king bed suite and one queen bed suite.
Amenities include super-fast Starlink WIFI, Starlink satellite TV, daily housekeeping, charcoal grill, back-up generator (for the Main House only), and air conditioning in all rooms except for the commercial kitchen.
Cocodimama is located just six miles (less than a 10-minute drive) from Governors Harbour, the main town on the island. Governors Harbour has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. . Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, and a medical clinic. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
Cocodimama is just two miles from the boutique luxury resort Sky Beach Club, which has an excellent beachfront restaurant and infinity pool, with swim up cocktail bar and poolside service all day long. Other restaurants in the area include Tippy’s (international and fusion) and The Rainbow Inn (famous for its steaks). The above all have live music one or more nights a week, so there is live entertainment somewhere nearby almost every night. The Governors Harbour area also has numerous little takeouts and restaurants offering local cuisine, including Da Perk (coffee and sandwich shop), The Buccaneer (salads, burgers, wraps), Mate and Jenny’s (pizza and Bahamian) and the Sunset Inn (local cuisine).
Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches, and for being safe and friendly. You can rent power boats, sailboats, kayaks, paddleboards and more. There are many boat excursions available.

This is the perfect vacation spot. The beach is steps away onto our own private infinity pool . . and is an oasis of relaxation. We had a group of 20+ and spent most of our time floating in warm 3 foot water and talking and laughing. The group was 30 year old cousins that just needed a break! The beaches are perfect for kids to play as moms/dads just float on a serene crystal blue ocean. ( yes, I did fall asleep and enjoyed the best nap of my life. Bring inflatable rafts and maybe a volleyball)
Several days we adventured to different parts of the island (lighthouse, sapphire hole, poponi, snorkeling) but always returned to relax on the beach and walk the shell strewn sand.
The 1/2 day snorkeling with Exotic Excursions was exceptional. Sandy secluded beaches, snorkeling in the aquariums and sunken ship, rope swings in the middle of the ocean, even swimming pigs!
Host Annie made everything comfortable and Cook Annie prepared wonderful meals. Nothing exotic or cruise-shipesque but comfortable and easy. One night we had Mish prepare a VIP celebration dinner and it was FANTASTIC! Would highly recommend that large groups include the meal services.
The main house was a perfect gathering spot which included games, gatherings and karaoke (yes, karaoke). Wasn’t excited to sing in front of others but it was a HUGE hit!
All in all the perfect getaway and the perfect location!
(Governor Airport is 5 minutes away. We rented a suburban through Cadet and it made it easy to get around. The location is central and allowed us to explore the entire island. The North Eleuthera airport is quite a drive away 1 hour. Flew from Dallas to Ft Lauderale and spent the night before flying Silverway airlines in the morning)

We had the most magnificent stay at Cocodimama! We were a large group of 7 families with kids ranging from 2.5 to 11 and everyone had a blast. It was the end of June and we spent most days soaking and playing games in the water. The accommodations were even better than the pictures (the AC in the rooms crank which was nice at night) and the staff do an impeccable job keeping it clean, thank you to Annie and the entire crew for all that you did to help make our stay comfortable! We hired Annie the chef to cook most meals and she did a great job keeping our hungry crew well fed and happy. There were noseeums around dusk, but if you just hang in the water you don’t get eaten alive. The bites didn’t spoil our fun, just bring some itch cream with you. This is a great property for large groups, can’t wait to come back again hopefully!

2nd visit to Eleuthra. Cocodimama promised AND delivered. The accommodations were perfect (it felt like waking up on a cloud each morning), including the "big house". As a large group, it was so nice to be able to retreat to your own unit and then hang-out in the big space to eat, play games, talk, watch TV or do karaoke. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had Annie and crew come in and cook breakfasts and dinners for us most nights and that was proved to be a fantastic idea (though I can't credit for it). Our group included kids, vegetarians, pescetarians (sp?), young adults and us older folks -- Annie managed to accommodate everyone! The food was tasty, plentiful and healthy. Cocodimama was so relaxing and beautiful we rarely ventured out, but if this is your first visit to Eleuthra; I'd recommend the Glass Bridge, the Queen's Bath and the Blue Hole (Blue Hole only if you're truly adventurous).

Just to clarify, there are several grocery stores and liquor stores within a 10 minute drive of Cocodimama. The island also has a true supermarket that will deliver and pre-stock the property for you. They even have online ordering. So food is easily available.

This beach is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. They were so friendly and attentive to us. This property has a great set-up with the individual rooms but large gathering space in the large house. This would be so ideal for a wedding or a family reunion. The ocean is super clear and shallow which is so amazing for children. There are shells which are hard on your feet but only at the very entrance then it turns to soft sand filled with starfish and sand dollars. The location is central on the island but this island is stretched out. It is 30-45 minutes to get to most activities. We would personally like a little more activity and the island is very quiet. There are plenty of restaurants open but no Friday Fish Fry yet. Things are very quiet so if you are seeking rest...this island is awesome! We felt very safe so no concerns there at all.

This was the most incredible experience for our extended family of 16. Cocodimama was exactly as represented on the internet. However, the description did not tell us about the incredible staff, and their kindnesses to us. Cocodimama is quite simply a magical place. The pictures are great but do not really paint the entire masterpiece this place truly is. Our group of 14 experienced one the best vacations of our lives. We are all in our 50s and came to Eleuthera to reconnect. The property has 3 colorful buildings housing 12 individual rooms. There is one main building for gathering. This gave each member of our group the ability to be on their own when they wanted. The rooms are spacious and spotless with very comfortable beds. Loved the great water pressure in the shower. The beach is so fantastic words cannot properly describe it. Every hue of Blue can be seen during the day and the sand is as soft as silk. You can walk into the ocean for 50 yards and the water is only up to your waist. One day 3 of us snorkeled out 150 yards directly in front of the resort and encountered a pod of Dolphins which swam right up to us. Comfortable beach chairs and individual Palupas line the beach offering ample room to relax, talk, or read a book. Every night we would have dinner together at a large table and then move out to the spacious deck to watch the sun dissolve into the ocean. We hired Annie Culmer as our cook, who created the most amazing meals in the attached industrial sized kitchen. Her ability to create 6 separate dinners for 14, which were incredibly diverse & delicious, really made our evenings special. After the sun dropped down the stars took over in a fashion which is rarely experienced and we would celebrate life while talking, listening to music, and dancing on the expansive deck. The onsite crew, run by Annie (different Annie) and Miss Maddie, tended to our rooms and the overall property everyday making sure we were comfortable and happy. From the first email to the après vacation follow up the communication from the owner was both responsive and professional. If you have a large group, then renting this property would be the best decision you could possibly make.

We chose Cocodimama for our destination wedding and it could not have been a better choice. We had the best week vacationing with our families before having the most picturesque wedding ceremony right on the beach. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived thanks to Annie and the other staff. They keep the grounds and houses impeccably clean and are happy to provide suggestions and information about anything you need. From what we saw of Eleuthera, Cocodimama beach is one of the best on the island. A stretch of white sandy beach and shallow water about 100 yards out. Amazing experience. The setting is from paradise with a beautiful secluded almost private beach, shallow water ideal for kids. The rooms are very large and comfortable and the common areas are perfect for large groups. The staff is also excellent. Only minor point is the presence of little biting bugs (noceums) on the beach that can be a real problem if you are allergic. Apart from that, our group had a great time.
